The conduct of the Development of Productivity Specialists for the Public Sector (DPSPS) Foundation Course last 7 to 11 and 21 to 25 November 2016 at Pasig City, Philippines marked the start of a series of courses to be developed and offered under the DPSPS Program of the COE on PSP. The DPSPS Program is aimed to develop a critical mass of productivity professionals who can be deployed to assist productivity improvement efforts of public sector organizations in the Philippines and eventually those in APO member countries. The end-of-course output of the participants of the DPSPS Foundation Course was their Innovation and Productivity Improvement Projects (IPIP). They presented their IPIP concept and implementation plan on 12 December 2016 to a group of panelists for initial feedback and recommendations for improvement. The participants, as of this writing, are implementing their IPIP at their respective agencies. They will report on their progress, accomplishments and issues/obstacles encountered during their IPIP implementation by May 2017.
